With a legacy of hosting famous races for centuries, Pimlico holds the unique distinction of being the only racetrack to prompt Congress to shut down for a day to attend a horse race—an event known as the “Great Race,” commemorated in a 4-ton bas-relief above the Clubhouse entrance.

As Pimlico approaches the 150th running of the Preakness Stakes and its final year before rebranding, this is the perfect moment to honor its storied past and look ahead to its future. The tour includes visits to the Bas Relief, Raoul Middleman murals, press box, museum, and grandstand. Guests will then step outside to see the Derby Winner’s stall, Winner’s Circle, and cupola, all while delving deeper into Pimlico’s rich heritage.

The experience concludes with a celebratory Champagne toast to “Old Hilltop” and the future of Pimlico, served in a commemorative 150th Preakness-branded Champagne glass

Please note: This is a walking tour that involves non-public areas of the racetrack. We will take the stairs at a reasonable pace, but the tour includes several floors and there is no elevator or escalator to the upper levels.

Don’t miss this exclusive experience for just $40 per person! Join us on Saturday, May 10, at 2:00 PM or Sunday, May 11, at 10:00 AM for a one-of-a-kind journey through Pimlico’s legendary history. Tickets are extremely limited and expected to sell fast—secure yours now before they’re gone!
